Cedric Brown

Cedric Brown (born May 6, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio), is a former American professional football player who played in 9 NFL seasons from 1976-1984 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brown was a very solid and underrated free safety for the Buccaneers, seldom making errors but also showing himself to be capable of big plays. Brown proved himself to be one of the lone bright spots on the inaugural Buccaneer teams that failed to win a game for nearly 2 seasons, suffering 26 straight losses before winning the 13th game of their second season.

During the off-season of Cedric's football career he attended Tampa Technical Institute where he graduated after two years with an honors degree in Electronic Engineering. He used this degree to start a career with Advanced Technology Laboratories, ATL. Now know as Philips Medical Systems. He installed, repaired and provided 1st level application training for Ultrasound Imaging Equipment and their associated peripheral hardcopy devices. After 23 years as an engineer Cedric is currently retired living in Oklahoma with his wife of 34 years, Linda.
